Feeling the cold breeze of Boracay cascading through my skin I remember one of my favorite lines in a love movie classic based on a true story, A Walk to Remember,
Love is like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it.
The wonder of love has remained a “wonder” to me until now. How beautiful it is, how poignant, how weird. I can see it, yes, with couples we shoot. In their kisses, their hugs, in whatever way they could express their affection. But what really happens is indeed, invisible. Is their some kind of electronic field that links both the couple’s hearts and deepest souls? Like phones that connects through signals? It makes lovers smile, giggle, laugh, blush, get excited, inspired, encouraged? Well, science might be able to explain the testable and observable aspects of which, but I believe, it would never be fathomable. In fact, how can you fathom the love of the One who created it?
It’s just like what happens to Eric and Helen. Yet another love story nourished while so far away from each other yet the fiery commitment to bring each other in the face of God Almighty to join them as one and live together for the rest of their lives is way beyond the fancy symbols of marriage. And the wedding? I believe, it’s just another little miracle in each of our lives we might not notice, how God could lead two people to each other.
This was just another wonderful opportunity and experience to be able to shoot a wedding in one of the most beautiful beaches on earth. And to meet another set of wonderful people along the way is such a great bonus.
Thank you so much Eric and Helen for bringing us to Boracay to photograph your wedding.
